We had a wonderful stay at this secluded cottage in a picturesque location. The rolling hills provided fine views, and it was only a short drive to nearby shops and attractions. The cottage itself was warm and cozy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owners were friendly and even called us the next morning to check if everything was okay. We were kinda surprised by the thoughtful gesture of a welcome bottle of wine and chocolates.
Everything is what we needed and wanted.

Had a great time at this cozy cottage! The location was perfect - so secluded and private, just what we needed for a relaxing weekend. We loved exploring the nearby attractions like Beamish and Cragside, and there were plenty of shops within a short drive. The cottage itself was clean and tidy, and we were pleasantly surprised to find clean towels and bedding, with extra pillows if needed. The long window in the kitchen area offered a beautiful view, and it was so easy to communicate with the owners if we had any questions. All in all, a fantastic rural getaway!
There were a few minor issues during our stay. it was a bit tricky to find the cottage in the dark, as we missed the turn off the main road.

We got great value for our money at Chestnut Cottage. The room was cozy and had all the facilities we needed. The location was amazing, surrounded by beautiful views and plenty of walks for our dog. The staff were friendly and cute, making us feel right at home.
The breakfast option could be improved by offering a wider variety of choices.
